Eastern offers premier Rotary Sonic Drilling Services for all clients. We regularly assist clients with geotechnical, environmental drilling, monitoring well installations, and more! Our patented Geoprobe® Rotary Sonic Drilling rigs boast full rotary capabilities and patented sonic head technologies, exclusive to Geoprobe® technology.
Eastern’s expert Geoprobe® technicians use our high-tech rotary sonic drilling rigs to gather information that enhances conventional drilling methods or bridge the gap where traditional drilling methods fail. Low or no recovery, inability to penetrate, inefficiency, tolerances, and alignment are all issues of conventional drilling that are overcome by sonic. Eastern Environmental and our expert Geoprobe® operators look forward to working with our client for all of their drilling needs. If you would like to inquire about future Geoprobe® work or require more information, give us a call today!

Advantages of Rotary Sonic Drilling Over Traditional Drilling Methods:
-
Speed: Sonic Drilling is usually faster and more efficient than traditional drilling methods. The high-frequency vibrating, called “sonic” technology, minimizes friction on subsurface materials while simultaneously rotating the drill string. The combination of high-frequency vibrations and rotating drill string allows for unmatched core recovery, sample taking, and no refusal.
-
Excellent Data Samples: Our Geoprobe® 8140LS provides high-quality, precise, and undisturbed sampling providing superior samples for analysts.
-
Environmental Cleanliness: Due to the sonic technology drilling utilizes, there is little to no residual contaminant that returns to the surface uncontained compared to traditional hollow stem augers. When using our rotary sonic drilling rigs at dry drilling sites or looking for potential contamination and any residual contaminants returned to the surface will be contained in a collection pan.
